Crazy Kids...

Keith & Em decided to camp out in a tent last weekend.  It got down to the low 50's that night, and eventually they got cold & came inside.  They watched movies on the iPad & ate popcorn in the tent.  Not exactly roughing it, but memories are made of this.

Slow down, growing boy...

Liam is changing so fast.  He's eating fruits & veggies, his mop of curly hair is totally adorable, he's squealing & belly-laughing at his sister, trying to sit on his own, playing & watching the world with big eyes lined with long, dark lashes.  Sigh...

Good Times in Hoosierland

We took a trip back home to Indiana the first week of October.  Got to spend the weekend with my bestie in Cincinnati & check out their cool new digs downtown.  Em got the spend some quality time with her buddy Sophie, we did an adult date night out to dinner & to see Contagion (where's my damn alcohol gel?!), spent some great family time with the Garretts walking around the river front...so cool.  We headed over the Indiana & saw Keith's parents, grandparents, aunt/uncle, and brother/family.  Had to make a stop at the Pizza Shack in Tipton, of course.  We headed to my hometown, Logansport, for a few days with my Dad...hit Mr. Happy Burger for a pork tenderloin, snapped a pic of Emerson in the Happy Trolley & played at Spencer Park for a while.  Em got a tour of my cousin's dairy farm & we visited some relatives on my Dad's side.  Then, on the North Manchester for Manchester College's (soon to be Manchester University?!  So not right) Homecoming, where I got to have lunch with a dear old friend who is making some exciting life changes & getting ready to sojourn to Nepal at the end of the year.  Ran into my favorite professor & his wife, and got to say hello.  They are the epitome of what I want to be when I grow up...adventurous, daring & just darn nice people.  We got to celebrate my Mom's 60th birthday while we were there...scoring a corgi cake for my mama was a highlight of the day!  We spent time with my Gram, aunt/uncle & brother, who all got to meet Liam for the first time.

It's always good to go home...
